The History: From WASP to MANTIS
In 2006, Stéphane Hamel created WASP, the Web Analytics Solution Profiler, the first tool specifically designed to help digital marketers decode the hidden signals sent by tags and trackers. WASP became a global standard, used by thousands to audit and debug tracking implementations.
Twenty years later, the web has grown infinitely more complex. MANTIS — the Machine-Augmented Network Tag Intelligence System — is the spiritual successor to WASP. It transitions from simple pattern matching to a modern, AI-augmented engine capable of resolving causal hierarchies in real-time.
The Vision
MANTIS was built with a clear mission: Empirical Truth. In an era of black-box tracking and opaque data flows, MANTIS provides an "X-Ray" view for privacy pros and tagging experts to see exactly how data travels, who is collecting it, and why.
AI-Enrichment API: Our core classification engine uses AI to categorize unknown network patterns with high confidence. This API is available for licensing to organizations requiring automated, high-precision tracker intelligence.
